A 2023 report by the institute Edgelands, which mapped cameras in the city, found a particularly high concentration at Cornavin train station, in the Pâquis district, on the left-bank quays, and at Geneva Airport. According to information provided by the canton to the newspaper Blick , there were over 2,749 surveillance cameras belonging to public bodies across the city.
