Raul Octavio Hernández Angulo, widely known as Raul Hernandez, was born in Mexico and became seriously involved in music in 1968 when he co-founded Los Tigres del Norte alongside his brothers Jorge Hernández (vocals, accordion) and Hernán Hernández (electric bass), and his first cousin Oscar Lara (drums).
