For organizations actively maintaining and extending VFP applications, migration should be planned within a 12- to 24-month horizon. For organizations simply running a stable VFP application that "just works" and requires no changes, runtime repacks may suffice as a stopgap—but recognize the accumulating technical debt and security risk.
