What makes the book fascinating is its treatment of logic. Carroll, a mathematician by trade, did not write nonsense for the sake of nonsense. Instead, he created "logical nonsense." The conversations Alice has with the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the Mock Turtle are filled with linguistic puzzles and mathematical paradoxes. Përshtatja në gjuhën shqipe nuk ishte një proces i thjeshtë, por një përpjekje që filloi shumë kohë më parë. Ndryshe nga sa mund të mendohet, kontakti i parë i lexuesit shqiptar me këtë klasik nuk ishte përmes filmit vizatimor të Disney-t, por përmes botimeve të hershme në gjuhën shqipe. Një prej botimeve më të hershme dhe më me ndikim që konsiderohet një version "i verifikuar" i trashëgimisë letrare në Kosovë është botimi i vitit 1979 nga shtëpia botuese "Rilindja" në Prishtinë. Ky botim i tretë, i përkthyer nga Mago Afezolli, ishte pjesë e Bibliotekës "Lekturë shkollore" për klasën e dytë fillore, duke e bërë Lizën një shoqe të hershme të fëmijëve shqiptarë. Ky fakt e verifikon Lizën jo vetëm si personazh, por si një pjesë të miratuar dhe të standardizuar të sistemit arsimor shqiptar të asaj kohe.
